Level of Correlation  Resource has strong, direct correlation with standards and may be used to enhance a lesson. Resource has strong, indirect correlation to the standards and may be used as a springboard for a lesson. Resource has some direct or indirect correlation to standards. Resource does not directly or indirectly correlate to any standards.
Interest and Reading Level Interest and reading level are appropriate for entire age range of target audience. Interest and reading level are appropriate for some of target audience , but are above or below level for rest of target audience.
(i.e. the interest and reading level of a resource that correlates with 1st and 3rd grade indicators may be appropriate for 3rd grade students, but are above level for 1st grade students)
Either interest or reading level are appropriate for target audience, but not both. Neither interest or reading level are appropriate for target audience.
Awards and Reviews Received multiple awards and excellent reviews. Received one award and excellent reviews. Received no awards, but good reviews. Received no awards and poor reviews.
Bang for Buck:
Cost of Resource and Amount of Correlation
Correlates with many standards/indicators across the curriculum, and cost is inexpensive compared to similar resources. Correlates with several standards/indicators within one discipline, and cost is inexpensive compared to similar resources.
OR
Correlates with many standards/indicators across the curriculum, and cost is expensive compared to similar resources.
Correlates with few standards/indicators, and cost is inexpensive compared to similar resources. Correlates with few standards/indicators, and cost is expensive compared to similar resources.
Hard to Meet Standards Is the only resource identified that strongly correlates with a hard-to-meet standard/indicator. Is one of just a few resources that strongly correlate with a hard-to-meet standard/indicator. Is the only resource identified that moderately correlates with a hard-to-meet standard/indicator. There are resources that better correlate with the hard-to-meet standard.
