Aztec Inca Maya Mississippian cultures

Knowledge of these civilizations of the “First Global Age” is lumped together in an ODE Social Studies Academic Content Standards for grade 6.  Finding sources for independent research for struggling sixth graders is problematic.  The Mississippian culture, a later Mound-builder civilization, has not been the subject of juvenile literature.
