Life Sciences:
Students demonstrate an understanding of how living systems function and how they interact with the physical environment.

Benchmark B. Analyze plant and animal structures and functions needed for survival and describe the flow of energy through a system that all organisms use to survive.
English Language Arts Informational, Technical and Persuasive Text:
Students gain information from reading for purposes of learning about a subject, doing a job, making decisions and accomplishing a task.

Benchmark A. Use text features and structures to organize content, draw conclusions and build text knowledge.

Benchmark C. Identify the central ideas and supporting details of informational text.
Library Media:
