Summary of
the Topic/Pathfinder
Students will be given handouts
listing life forms from the Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic
eras. They will also have a handout on instructions for
PowerPoint presentation for class. Using the EBSCO Database,
other INFOhio databases as needed, the Berkeley gateway site
to dinolinks, other selected WWW sites, World Book print
edition, and Portsmouth Public Library catalog for finding
print materials for research, students will prepare the
PowerPoint description of their 3 selected creatures. The
slides will include scientific name, picture if possible,
diet, habitat, and other information. Students will present
their PowerPoint program to the class.

Students:
Choose one creature from EACH era listed on the handout
sheets. You will have a total of three creatures. You are to
develop a PowerPoint presentation based on these
creatures.
Follow the format for each slide 1 - 31 as
listed on the handout sheet. The PowerPoint presentations will
be given to the class at the end of the unit. We have 10 days
to complete research and to develop the PowerPoint slides.
