for Reading Groups
Literature
Circles are used when there is not a classroom set of novels. Small groups
of students are assigned one title to read. They respond to what they are
reading in a journal, and discuss their books daily in their groups. Other
activities are required by the teacher for each group. We chose these six
titles : Sounder, Bridge to Terabithia,
The Watsons Go To Birmingham, Bud, Not Buddy, Nothing
But the Truth, and Espanoza Rising.
