SPECIFIC TOPIC:  The exploration of the life cycle of a Painted Lady Butterfly

 

SUMMARY:  Students will be able to explain the life cycle of a butterfly; including the needs of the organism at each stage (air, water, food, shelter) and the transformation that occurs in specific stages.  Integrated into the butterfly study will be instruction using basic search techniques for locating information using the building online library catalog, online reference sources as well as applicable computer software.
