Author Research/Writing Project

You will conduct an independent search using skills acquired in prior lessons such as effective internet searches, evaluation of websites, and use of the on line catalog system for the school library. The students will present information in a variety of methods, a critical analysis paper, and a presentation of their research.

Assignments:

Write a 3-4 page paper analysis of major writing of author with Bibliography (50 pts.)

A Creative Presentation of a decade of the author’s life (50 pts.)

Biweekly e-mail or paper update of information on author. (50 pts.)

Due Date:

Analysis Paper

Analysis of one major piece of writing by your assigned author.

Include: conflicts, parallel plots, and subplots affect the pacing of action in text

Universal themes, use of point of view, mood, tone, use of symbols in text to create a

broader meaning. Must include a bibliography.

To get a better understanding choose one decade of the author’s life and research that decade
