Huckleberry Finn Essay
Example
Your
paper will have five paragraphs. Since
all of your work will be ideas of others, you will have embedded citations
throughout your text. Your references
will be in parenthesis, referring the reader to the works cited page that is
attached to your paper. For instance, if
this sentence referred to information I had obtained from the Son Francisco
Chronicle, I would put the embedded citation at the end of the sentence.
(San Francisco Chronicle).
If
this sentence referred to a longer work whose author’s name was Tawa, I would
include a comma, the abbreviation par, and the number of the paragraph at the
end of the sentence. (Tawa, par. 3).
If
this paragraph was referring to a short article with no author, I would include
the title of the article, in quotations.
If the article was long, I would also include the paragraph information.
("The Man and His
Book," par. 1).
