Virtual Immersive Field Experience Classroom (VIFEC)
The Purpose of VIFEC
To increase candidate exposure to exemplary professional practices in any environment that promotes systematic observation, analysis and reflection, ILILE has developed the Virtual Immersive Field Experience Classroom (VIFEC).
The VIFEC features the capability of two-way video classrooms and library/media centers from the perspective of a model practitioner. The facility can provide a unique laboratory where students have the opportunity to interact with practicing professionals and share perspectives on real-time experiences. Because such a program would rely on a wide variety of consulting cooperating teachers, candidates would have the opportunity to observe many school settings, including underserved and diverse populations.
