Terrence "Terry" Young, Jr. is a teacher ... both in the classroom and in the school library media center. He received a BS in Science Education and a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of New Orleans, and an MLS from Louisiana State University. In the classroom he has taught Biology Honors, Environmental Science, General Science and Biology. He is a prolific writer on science issues and the school library media center with articles appearing in Library Media Connection, Book Links, Science Books & Films, The Book Report, Library Talk, and Knowledge Quest. He is the E-Reference columnist for School Library Journal and the NetWorth columnist for Knowledge Quest, the official journal of the American Association for School Librarians. Behind the scenes he is on the Library Advisory Boards for Scholastic Library Publishing, Linworth Publishing and Facts on File; and the Science Advisor for Compass Point Books. Currently he is a school library media specialist at West Jefferson High School and an Adjunct Professor of Library Science at the University of New Orleans.
