Dr. Cynthia Bowman

Dr. Cindy Bowman is an Associate Professor of Literacy Education at Ashland University. She received her Ph.D. from Kent State in 1996 and has taught at Ball State University and Florida State University. She has edited and co-authored books including "Using Literature to Help Troubled Teenagers Cope with Health Issues, Disability Matters, A Guide to High School Success for Students with Disabilities", and one that is in press. She is President-Elect of the Ohio Council of Teachers of English Language Arts (OCTELA), and she is an active member of NCTE, IRA, AERA, and SITE. She is the co-editor of Contemporary Issues in Technology and Teacher Education.
