12 to 13: High School to College Transition

A group of librarians from Kent State University, Bowling Green State University, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University, The Ohio State University and the University of Akron is working on initial projects and strategies to develop information literacy competencies in students to help prepare them for a successful transition from high school to college. This is seen as developing as a collaborative effort between librarians from schools, public libraries, and colleges and universities.

Target group: College bound high school students

Case Western Reserve University, Kelvin Smith Library
Project: Digital Inclusion: Information Literacy for Underserved Populations
Target groups: 7-12th grades

Cleveland State University
Project: Outreach to High School Librarians
Target groups: High School Librarian groups

Kent State University
Project: Informed Transitions: High School Outreach Program
Target groups: High School juniors and seniors
