The Literary Festival uses inquiry learning and information literacy strategies to meet several state technology standards, language arts standards and library/media guidelines for high school students. The students begin by learning how to assess the credibility of Web resources utilizing mock resources, Infohio, and independent resource evaluations. From a self-created research questions, student pairs create a high quality list of resources, create annotations, and produce an annotated Webliography.  From this high quality list of resources, students develop a research project that is presented as part of a community literary festival.  Both projects allow for inquiry learning, information literacy development, and authentic assessment.
