Grading Rubric for Congruent-Rotated-Translated Drawings

 

Scale is 1-3 where 3 is mastery, 2 is basic understanding and 1 is deficient in topic

 

Congruence Section:

 

·        Student’s grid on original is correct                                                                               

·        Student’s grid on congruent drawing is correct                                                  

·        Randomly take 3 actual measurement to see if scale is correct                           

 

                                               

Rotation/ Translation (R/T) Section:

 

·        Student has attempted at least 3 R/T’s                                                              

·        Student has correctly performed R/T #1 as described by student                                  

·        Student has correctly performed R/T #2 as described by student                                  

·        Student has correctly performed R/T #3 as described by student                                  

 

 

Coordinate System Section:

 

·        For R/T #1, student has correctly labeled box using coordinate system              

·        For R/T #2, student has correctly labeled box using coordinate system              

·        For R/T #3, student has correctly labeled box using coordinate system              

 

Overall Appearance/ Effort Section:

 

·        Student’s drawing looks like original                                                                             

·        Student has put full effort in the project

Picture Puzzle Section:

 

·        Student creates a square puzzle out of drawing                                                 

·        Student is able to explain a coordinate system for his/her drawing                                  

·        Student is able to point to pieces (3) based on the coordinate system                

·        Student is able to perform 3 rotations/translations asked by teacher                               

 

Overall Appearance/ Effort Section:

 

·        Student’s drawing looks like original                                                                             

·        Student has put full effort in the project
