OELMA 2005

The Institute for Library and Information Literacy Education (ILILE) at Kent State was once again very proud to be a part of the OELMA annual Conference. There were a number of activities and sessions supported through ILILE. We provided a free continental breakfast on Thursday morning to hear about a few ILILE updates.

ILILE sponsored four authors, Colleen Salley, Bruce McMillan, Jamie Adoff and Dorothy Hinshaw Patent

And, there were a number of ILILE programs on both Thursday and Friday. Carolyn Brodie presented a Nonfiction Update. Christine Findlay and Carolyn Brodie presented a session on INFOhio Parent Resources. Greg Byerly and Carolyn Brodie did a session on Web Sites. Also on Thursday was a session on the First Ladies Library presented by Martha Regula and Lucinda Frailly.

A Friday session called Collaboration Works was presented by Mary Tipton with mini grant recipients Elaine Ezell, Martha Schindler, Donna Brennan, Gail Dill, and Cinda Dehner. And finally, Barbara Schloman, Ann Tepe and Gail Geitgey did a presentation on the TRAILS 9 Project.

ILILE also provided an OELMA author/illustrator packet to all conference attendees which includes a page of information on each of the authors presenting at the conference with connections to lesson plans and activities.
